Overall I like the look of the lower as well. Totally my opinion but I like the look of the brick darker and the subjects lighter. Maybe a slight vignette or just lighten the subjects. Overall though the second is def much cleaner and pleasing to my eyes.
I'm assuming the bottom one is after PP. Definitely effective, IMO. Makes it feel like a nicer day.
