The advantage of photographing tapes in comparison with taking portrait photos in a studio is that you are mainly observing because you have no influence on the light and what happens during such a performance. Despite that you can see what light, smoke and shadow can be in addition to a photo.

Paige's booth portrait

Recently, I taught an Off Camera Flash class. Paige was my model for the class. We were outdoors but it started to rain. Luckily, a nearby restaurant let us conduct the class in their dining room.
