Even though it is early February, flowers are beginning to emerge. Some people call these 'weeds', but when you look closely, they have beautiful and intricate blossoms. I did not see the tiny black ant in the second photograph until after I had taken the shot. I had hoped to get a better viewpoint of the ant, but alas, it did not cooperate. Perhaps this was his best side!
I believe this is plant is called Slender Speedwell. The blossom is approximately 8mm across. This was shot with a compact bellows (no length scale is available to know focal length) and a 50mm lens; 1/60th sec, 200 ISO, f11 with daylight.
