Here are a couple long exposure shots using my original 50 year old Minolta SR-T201 and kit lens shooting Fujifilm Neopan Acros 100 II. Both images were taken just at the end of blue hour.

Wow, that's a pretty close shot Dean. I like the style, but the result feels a little unbalanced for my personal taste. I feel a little tighter crop may work better.
As you are attempting impressionism you may want to also post in a group I moderate - Minimalism, Abstract, Experimental. This is a group that encourages all sorts of experimentation and members learn from each other.
All in all, a lovely image.
