How to achieve such lighting?

Hello!

I'm a fashion photographer and I would like to completely change my style. I'd like to start shooting in aesthetic similar to this https://www.google.pl/search?q=hart+leshkina&client=ms-android-xiaomi&pr...

But I'm not sure how to achieve such lighting. It basically looks like natural light, but it's shoot mostly indoors so strobes must be included.

How to achieve such soft lighting?

To be more specific, lighting on those two images is what I want to replicate: https://goo.gl/images/2LjRNR

The first one have some harsness in it, and the second one is more dull.

Do you have any advice for me? :D

Hi,
When I want this kind of light using strobes. I use a 7 ft parabolic with a diffuser. High in 45 degrees angle. Also, keep in mind that if is not movement from your subjects, your shutter speed can be lower to allow more flooding of light.

I agree with Dan, seems to me it is big overhead light source, probably fully light ceiling. Quite high ceiling. And a lot of the effect comes from plain white walls that bounces the light.

If you look at the rooms they are mostly white with large windows. You will also have some flash lit with large sources.

The rooms will be helping a little with the walls being white.

When you don't have access to a room with larger windows you could start to get this look with flash and large modifiers and bouncing a flash off a wall or v flat.

If you are using flash and a modifier directly pointed towards the models then you may want to double diffuse it. You can use tracing paper sheets to do this or scrims.
