For $1500, they are smoking crack. Not a chance.

how many more 50mm FE prime lens do we really need?
Not needed really. I just use the 35mm f/1.4 and when I need something near the 50, I just use APS-C (A7rii). I do lose a stop, but rarely do I need that. I do the same thing with my 85 f/1.4.
