Athens photos
A few shots from the winter of 2025. The last one was inside of the Acropolis Museum. (Unfortunately, I could get everyone to walk exactly where I wanted them to. hahaha)
New version of Bluristic available
For iPhone users - a new version of Bluristic has dropped (v1.8) which offers new features and significant improvements in stability & useability.
Focus Stacking ~ New to Me
I am interested in learning Macro/Closeup photography and understanding that Focus Bracketing is a good part of the process, I thought I would give focus stacking a try.
Vintage Lens
Another visit to our garden using a vintage lens (Canon FD 50mm f/1.4) on my Canon R5. NOTE: With this lens the minimum focusing distance is 18" at which point you have 1/4" depth of field.

I like the character of the photo. I would have liked to see the complete dome in the ceiling but it may not have been possible with lens you were using. If you return to this location you may want to try HDR shots- I would take 3 exposures -2, 0, +2 then combine them using an HDR app (in Photoshop, Lightroom, Aurora HDR, etc.). The HDR version would bring out more shadow and highlight details. Tripod preferable but I have shot HDR exposures without a tripod
This was shot with a 17mm T/S lens as a panoramic - 3 shots in portrait mode, making a 5x4 crop.
I am a little confused by your HDR, bracketing idea - I always bracket and then luminosity mask or blend as a HDR as my base image and then edit from there. I would never get the result I do without multiple exposures.
Thanks Malcolm.
