Athens photos
A few shots from the winter of 2025. The last one was inside of the Acropolis Museum. (Unfortunately, I could get everyone to walk exactly where I wanted them to. hahaha)
New version of Bluristic available
For iPhone users - a new version of Bluristic has dropped (v1.8) which offers new features and significant improvements in stability & useability.
Focus Stacking ~ New to Me
I am interested in learning Macro/Closeup photography and understanding that Focus Bracketing is a good part of the process, I thought I would give focus stacking a try.
Vintage Lens
Another visit to our garden using a vintage lens (Canon FD 50mm f/1.4) on my Canon R5. NOTE: With this lens the minimum focusing distance is 18" at which point you have 1/4" depth of field.

Bill thanks for that!! I am including 3 different exposures in the folder. here is the link https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ckd30dm34c7qwa6/AACGtFObJCPfQfChMF4Vt3Sma?dl…
Assuming that the ceiling was white ( was it ? ), this is a rather rough & quick edit of what I'd do.
Thank you!! very interesting to see how you did it. Yes the ceiling is white. Yours looks more natural. I like it. did you merge hdri? or edited one photo only?
Used only the 3835 NEF.
I also liked how you removed the object from the bottom right corner. I would do the same. I think you are the only one who did so far.
Needed a break from my own post
Thanks!! maybe a little too monochromatic??
Its hard because theres too much tungsten burn for my taste. I normally replace bulbs with daylight turn off the over head light for an exposure to correct in camera and preserve natural color. But I understand some people like the warmth of tungsten especially in a monochromatic room.
loved your edit, clean and simple
Thanks!
A rank amateur's attempt...
I have processed it again!!! Much better now!!
I think still too much HDR for my taste, but a nice image and composition overall
I played with it a bit and went for kind of a moody feel, just for fun. Thanks for posting this image, it was kinda fun to play with.
In my edit I have tried to build the viewer into the mood of the room (black and quiet), and eliminating any other distracting cast or color into the walls, and why make any details in the window when we have no view , so I increased its exposure, thanks for the post. :)
my perspective
Fstopper and Lightroom noob trying his best. Great way to learn, so thank you, sir! 🙂
Started with the JPG. Balanced some of the yellow from the lamps, brought some yellow to the window, cast it on the floor and the bed. Some perspective adjustment.
Here's what I would do,
:)
Enjoyed looking through the edits. Most of my time was spent working with the lines and the window. I agree with abdullrahman madi that if there isn't a noticeable view, no need to hdr it imho. I recovered some detail by toning down the highlights but left it more natural. I kept the ceiling features because my clients would want to show them. I removed the foreground clutter (i.e. doorway to the left and the partial furniture at the bottom right). I also wanted to get more height perspective in the compo b/c I felt the original camera placement was a tad low. Comments welcome ;-).
