It is like a space station (I do believe you have an alternative title... ), with the starkness of the image - that hard-looking building and the black black sky, and of course the star. With the near-perfect symmetry of the subject, the minor asymmetries, textures and imperfections in the structure keep my eye wandering around it. Those lit portholes make me instinctively wonder about its denizens.
Speaking of symmetry, I think you didn't have a pivoting rear LCD, so you must have ended up with a twisted neck to frame up so accurately, shooting straight up.
Don't know how the RAW looked, but your post is excellent. And yes, optics served you well; very little flare.
Thanks so much Chris!
This time I used my second tripod with adjustable center column, anyway I could not (lying down in the dark) to get perfect geometric symmetry.
Here comes a raw file, only transferred in jpg.
Very hard on yourself, Radisa! I like your "post" - for instance the black sky and stars helping the "space" look. And shooting up is always hard. I don't think the geometry detracts from the shot, and I'm pretty fussy about it generally. Great image..

This is really quite incredible. I also thought it was a space station. Well done!
I think this is one of your best, Radisa!

You did pretty well! Surprised the RAW is so close in tonality to your edit.
I think that my processing in this case is nothing special and that it could have been much better especially in terms of geometry.

Thanks a lot Phillip!
