I could use some constructive feedback on this video. This is only my second time making a real estate video even though I've had many real estate photo shoots. I offered it to my client for a very low price just to have it on my portfolio. Title, address and the name of the agent are omitted for privacy.
Hi Rus, I think for a second time this is a pretty good video, you show off the house well and have some nice shots in there! I think my main feedback would be this:
1. a lot of the shots are tilted to one side, make sure in post you either crop in and rotate these or just when you're filming make sure your shots are completely straight.
2. If you can Id try adding a warp stabilize to some of the shots as some are a little janky and shaky.
3. Depending on the style you want to give I might try and slow down some of the movement as a some shots in the video seem to move so fast through the room.
4. Id always start with an exterior shot of the house, just so people know what they're going into first.
5. If you can get a wider lens I think it may help a lot, it would stabilize the shots a bit more and I think you'd get a better view of what each room looks like first, then you can use a longer lens to get some up close detail shots.
I think those are the main things I would look to change in your next video but as I said a great video for your second attempt!
Thank you for your feedback!
1. I thought that was more important for real estate photography but not so much for videos? Are you talking about verticals or framing in general?
3. That was the plan originally but I messed up and accidentally filmed it in 4k24fps instead of 1080p60fps. I completely forgot to change my settings back from my previous project. I filmed thinking I had it at 60fps and figured I can slow it down in post but, unfortunately, that was not an option.
4. I was going to show the exterior but the agent, for some reason, did not want to reveal the address in the video.
5. How wide would you recommend? I was thinking about getting a 15mm or 17mm but I was worried about it distorting proportions of the room. Right now my widest lens is 21mm.
Your feedback is appreciated!
