This was my first shoot after learning to shoot with flash for real estate work. I previously had been bracketing my images into HDR. This technique blends a natural light frame with one strobe frame for the highlights. I lean heavily on the natural light as I like the "feel" to be less flashy and more inviting. CC welcome!
if you're looking for constructive criticism:
I really like the first image,, however,, the bak room is looking "over strobed"... I don't know your workflow,, but doing a bracket for the back room without the strobes and allowing it to go blown out with natural light would have been a nice merge... playing with the images as layers would have been interesting to see where you ended up.
The second image is pretty much a bullseye... I always like to get an exposure with the lights on (over the kitchen table) to see if it adds something .... but nailed it in my opinion...
Third shot i like but there is some sort of an "over strobed" thing going on... adding an existing light layer to balance things out might be the fix? Still a nice shot.. just feels a tad artificial...
Hope this helps?
Thanks for the feedback, Craig!
Heyyyy good stuff Korey! How does it feel? I've been working my butt off trying to find my style with flash, and I'm just never satisfied, however, I feel as though I get a little bit closer every time. I've bought many tutorials trying to improve in many aspects such as composition, lighting and workflow. What I'm starting to realize is that its just as important to figure out how they compliment each other in your workflow. In my humble opinion, Barry Mackenzie's tutorial at PRO EDU is the best I've ever used. It's not the answer to everything, and its not the most advanced either, but man, if you';re looking for a great tutorial and refining your technique with real estate lighting and a solid workflow. It's damn good!
anyway, keep up the good work. Cheers Korey!

Just for the record, I have no affiliation with Barry or PRO EDU. Just a big fan of Barry's work and passing on my experience. Looks like your doing great Korey. I could talk about this stuff for days. Hit me up with a chat anytime, as Im also a fan of your videos :)
Thanks, Jay! I actually ended up purchasing a tutorial from Garey Gomez and loved it! I'm really drawn to his work and style.
Duuuuude, Garey Gomez is amazing! Good to hear you recommend the tutorial, I was thinking of trying it out.
It was the first tutorial I've ever bought for anything and it didn't disappoint. Best investment for my business I could have made at this point.
I find it pretty neat !
Like Craig said, I would have switched one the lights. Mixing of color temperatures can be fixed in post-process.
These images certainly do have a natural light feel to them. I think the only issue is that the exterior light coming in is very flat, looks like it was an overcast day. Maybe would have considered bracketing in some of the interior lights. Nice images overall.
