Cabin - lots of wood

Dear fellow photographers,
I had my first real estate shot in my mom's cabin which she rents to tourists. The photos were for her holiday home agency's website. I found that the shot was quite difficult especially regarding the lighting situation with 50 year old wood covering all structural surfaces.
To be honest, I am quite happy with how the photos turned out, but I'd really like to get your feedback.
Maybe you have some advice how to best shoot this kind of interior?

A bird I have not come across before. In my ignorance I just assumed it was a variety of Toucan.

I feel fortunate to have ben able to capture it with my lens.

I felt very fortunate to capture this beautiful bird. I have not heard of this bird before and in my ignorance assumed it was a Toucan variety.
