I like the reflection of behavioural need resulting in such organic spaces. This is "Verandah" just before the entrance of a traditional house at old city Jodhpur. it could be any traditional home anywhere in India. its a space use for multiple use. different meaning in morning, afternoon and evening. Personalisation of expression makes it even more interesting. These eventually become the feature and gives the urban planning its identity.
Hi Vijay,
I've been noticing your posts lately. Your passion for architectural photography.really comes through.
I hope you aren't offended by this alternate post processing but I thought it brought out some great qualities in the photo. Here's what was done:
-- Corrected for the lens distortion seen in the overhang.
-- Applied a Mask to open up the shadows on the right.
-- Made contrast and saturation adjustments.
-- There was an opportunity to enhance the interplay between the blue and the terra-cotta colors that were begging to come forward.
As you pointed out this is just a "personalisation of expression" and may not be yours. I just enjoy the power of polishing our vision that comes in the post production phase.
Just yesterday I saw a short film on India and realized what an exciting photo trip it would be.
Hi Daniel. Thanks for sharing your views and even more for suggesting edits. I agree for what you have done and am definitely learning for all that finer corrections. appreciated.
about the distortion at right overhang element, it was left like that since it did lost its shape a bit. But now I agree for that correction as refined frame.
noted and learnt about shadows, saturation and colour tones. thanks.
