Help with crazy plastic surface & relections

I'm shooting some basic products in their packaging on white, usually a simple gig. This set of products are sold direct to commercial clients so the packaging consists of a product card in either a sealed or ziplock plastic bag. They are also soft, bulky, and organic shapes. I'm having a heck of a time getting a clean look (sample posted). So far the best look is from shooting a strip box on one side with a white card on the other. The side with the white card looks nicer, so I flopped the lights and combined both in PS so I get a decent edge highlight for each side.

If anyone else has experience shooting something complicated like this and has any tips, I could use any advice you have.

(p.s.- the posted sample image has no editing done except to combine the two exposures to experiment with the highlights.)

It sounds simple, but a polarizer might help out just a bit. Something I do to get nice edges on things like this is float it on a piece of plexiglass a foot or two above the white background. That way I can light the background and product separately. My last ditch effort would be to use a hard light so the reflection is smaller. Then you can just "shop" it out later.

Austin, Texas Blue Hour

Was down in Austin for a bit on a work trip. I've always heard how beautiful the skyline is from the river.

Was a little let down by the clouds, but what can I do!

Two from Tenerife

My two favourite images from my recent night time adventure in Tenerife. Foregrounds and skies were shot separately and blended in PS.
