Focus Stacking ~ New to Me
I am interested in learning Macro/Closeup photography and understanding that Focus Bracketing is a good part of the process, I thought I would give focus stacking a try.
Vintage Lens
Another visit to our garden using a vintage lens (Canon FD 50mm f/1.4) on my Canon R5. NOTE: With this lens the minimum focusing distance is 18" at which point you have 1/4" depth of field.
Austin, Texas Blue Hour
Was down in Austin for a bit on a work trip. I've always heard how beautiful the skyline is from the river.
Was a little let down by the clouds, but what can I do!
Two from Tenerife
My two favourite images from my recent night time adventure in Tenerife. Foregrounds and skies were shot separately and blended in PS.

Hi Kimberly, good luck wherever your photography interests take you!
Quick basic answer, this a good starter shot. Good focus on main subject, good separation between foreground background, however, the background pieces may be a bit too blurred for me in this shot and is almost too distracting, I would try just a little less blurred out by increasing your depth of field a little bit, that is personal preference.
There's quite a bit more I and others on this site could say to offer suggestion, but as a basic product shot it is headed in the right direction.
Do you do any post processing work yet, such as Photoshop or other software, apps, etc. ?
If you would like to hear more suggestions on how to finish this image let me know :)
Hope you don't mind, I was liking the idea of this image B&W with a slight warm tone added in, plus I straightened it a tad, maybe food for thought for one possible option on how how to finish a shot like this.
Thank you for you’re suggestions, I think I agree, for a stand alone shot the background might be too blurred (this was part of three, explaining aperture). I edited this slightly but I like the take on black and white, definitely gives it a classic feel. I appreciate your help, thanks :)
