Playing around with light on shiny things for products. Poor Queen, unlike Midas, anything she touches turns to crystal. The last of her kind. I focus stacked the images. I couldn't figure out how to truly light the center of the stand the girl is sitting in. Any ideas? Also how do you properly illuminate the objects from behind. I tried taking several shots with a single flash behind from different angles, but they all felt too harsh. I was trying to get silhouettes with some light to curl around, but because they are crystal it all just came in harsh angles. I was looking for a way to light them for more depth as well as to help separate the shell from the background. In hind site I would have liked to have moved the shell slightly to the right and angled towards the clown a tad so that its reflection wasn't blocked by the girl and it would have given a better sense of depth. Any thoughts on the lighting?
Also, how do I blend the background better. It wasn't this splotchy in lightroom :)
