I went from using the 15" rMBP to the 27" non-retina iMac, and I can say that the bigger screen is much better for editing photos. However, for quick shots on the go, the MBP is a great machine. I think you'll find it more than powerful enough for all but the most complex editing, and the screen is really quite good. Just be careful that there's no bright lights behind you, as screen glare can be an issue in some places.

Adobe CC? Yeah, that's going to be plenty powerful enough, and with great battery life. I'd be careful, though; I could be wrong, but I don't think the Force Touch MacBooks have a discrete graphics card.
