First car photo attempt

Hey guys,

Also new to this group. I recently did a spontaneous photo shoot with one of my dad's jaguars. The location was just a local park so there wasn't much of a background to incorporate. He started a wedding chauffeur service and wanted me to get some shots to showcase the cars.

Interested in any new ideas or locations to get some full length body shots of the vehicles if anyone knows Brisbane, Australia. Somewhere to suit the wedding car style would be preferred.

Some of the work in this group is amazing! Very inspiring stuff.

Thanks,

Trent

Neat car - I'd be interested to see where the road at the top of the photo goes - might end up complimenting the shot quite a bit.

The road lead to the end of the park with play equipment etc. I suppose i could've removed them though

Hey mate, search for "SE-QLD Automotive Photography Group" for a bunch of other car togs around you. I have a sticky post at the top of it with some tips for automotive photography.

The location does make the shot, for this one it might have even been better to just have a clean cement background so that it wouldn't detract from the car. Although for the purpose of advertising a wedding chauffeur service you would probably want to get some shots of it in a nice beautiful scene. Local to Brisbane you could do UQ campus as many weddings are done there (although I think it's a bit passé). You could also try in front of the Botanic Gardens near QUT (busy road though). A nice drive up Mt Mee, Mt Glorious, Maleny area might be good for some landscape/sunset shots too.

You could go all out and have a bride & groom to really sell the story but that is a bigger production with models, outfits, hair and make up etc.

Biggest tip is to always use a CPL when shooting cars :)

Wow thanks so much for your feedback. I'll have to check out those locations. Mt Mee, Glorious and Maleny area sounds like it would compliment the style well. And another good tip with the CPL, didn't even think about that.

Thanks!
