Howdy all! I'm new to the group, as I just finished my first car shoot. Of course, any and all feedback and critique is greatly appreciated. That and practice is the only way to improve, right?
Quite the car for a first shoot. A circular polarizer would have removed the glare from the windshield. Is this a composite, and if not, how did you light it?
It's a composite and the car is a 1:14 scale model. For lighting I used two strip boxes shooting through Savage Translum (medium-weight) diffusion material.. Is that cheating? ;-)
Being a studio shooter and a total noob to cars I felt that my two-shot comp (back plate and car) was pretty lame.
Last weekend I took forced perspective shots of a 1:14 BMW i8 in front of some graffiti. I'm pretty happy with the raw shots, but I haven't started editing yet.

John, where did you get the scale model, that's very nice! Great work!
Thanks for the kind comment. Believe it or not, it's a $30 RC car from Amazon.

After some much-appreciated feedback I've re-edited/polished the shot.
The new edit is way better. Well played sir
