How to Mount a Flag?

I've typically seen flags with poles shown as below, but I can never think of what they're actually support to fit on to. Pretty sure it's just hollow piping, maybe an inch think. What would this mount to?

How does everyone use/mount their flags? I've got a shoot in mind that I think could use one (very low key lighting), but I'm not sure the best method to go about it

They are made to go into a grip head. Usually on a C-stand.

In this link there is a picture of a flag mounted on a grip arm in the product images. ;)

Ah thanks. One more piece of grip equipment I didn't know I needed lol.

The metal frames are solid, not hollow.

Here's how it works.
Slow day at the studio. ;)

Thanks! I've never really come across any of this stuff in person, I just have to look online and pictures and hope I've figured it out by the time the box shows up from B&H haha.
