Ash, for the BTS... it's a composition of 27 pictures so.... 27 BTS shoots ;)
Brandon, Yeah you'r right about the parking lines. I'll try that later... I got the 3/4 side shot to do... about 30 pictures to combine...and erase the parking line there to! I'll do it before posting it :D
I really like your methods here -- as I do the same style of work (multiple shots put together). It's interesting to see how you put everything together and compare it to what I would do. Pretty color too!
I have a few suggestions to make (don't we all). I don't consider myself an expert, but there are things that would bother me if these were my shots. I am also extremely detail oriented, so some of these things may just be my OCD, but you can be the judge.
1) The first thing that I noticed is that both photos are slightly crooked. Most people might not notice, but they seem just a touch off (to me at least).
2) I would encourage you to pay attention to symmetricality. The light just below the left headlight continues more toward the center than it does on the right. I understand that sometimes it just doesn't workout perfectly, because of the shots you were able to get, but that's my suggestion. Perhaps remove a layer??
3) Lastly, I want to challenge you to try and do this in less shots. Again, it's hard for any of us to know exactly how many shots it'd take to pull this off (believe me, I know they add up), but I think you could probably get it done with around 20 or less. I remember doing a shoot at BMW a year ago and ended up using like 40 pictures. I look back at that and laugh, because I have since then figured out how to use less.
I hope you are able to pull something out of my critiques! Best of luck for future shoots!
Loving the colour contrast with the grey background! Would love to see BTS if you grabbed any! Good work man!
Great shots. Only thing I would recommend is getting rid of the yellow line it is somewhat distracting. Other than that very nice.
