Few shots that I took, looking for feedback

Hi people,

I recently shot these few portraits and are looking for comments to enable me to become a better photographer.

Please feel free to comment on these. Thanks!

Lighting is good. Poses and expression is ok. Images don't have much diversity, all very similar angles too. I would say work on more depth and fill light.

Thanks Travis! I will look into it. See how I can diversify my shots, I do struggle with posing and sometimes compositions, also what do you mean by more depth?

Hey Jonny,

You have very nice models, and you seem to be working with a good make-up artist, are you not?

Image 1 : I like the blue tone, which harmonize with the shirt of the girl, and I also like her the expression. However, I think her face is overexposed as you lost much of the skin texture - unless that's what you wanted?

Image 2 : The model looks very very bored, and I think we don't see her irises enough.

Image 3 : What a nice model! Her expression is OK, but not too inviting. By the way, regarding your question, here, to add depth, you could have used a background light and a rim or hair light.

Image 4 : Again, the expression of the model is not too inviting : she seems to want to be somewhere else. I also think that too much information is lost in the background and that the light on the bottom left side of her face is not too great. Maybe by having her turn her head a little more straight on, the light would have been better. However, the wardrobe is well chosen for the scene, and I like that the color of the leaves harmonize with the color of her hair.

I hope those observations can help you... :)
