I'm totally new to automotive photography but been doing other kinds and retouching for some time. So when I got a new car not that long ago and did some work to it, I decided to give it a proper christening by shooting it (with a camera). So here is the result. About 20 layers as there is combination of flash and lightpainting the car plus a couple layers for the lights. Let me know what you think!
Love the car (used to have one) and the wheels look amazing. For the photo I would lighten it up some. Too dark and the lighting isn't even enough, nor does it really highlight any key features/lines of the car. Keep it up though man! Practice makes perfect.
Thanks for the awesome response. I realized when i got back from shooting that i totally missed getting a shot of the fender lit up. Definitely a learning experience!
Yeah light painting is definitely all trial and error haha. Good attempt though and now you know what to look for next time.
