During the summer, I shoot a series of parkour events across Europe. One of my favourites is the Women's International Parkour Weekend hosted by Parkour Generations in London. 80 women attend two and a half days of training, and it's an honour to capture these moments of achievement. I've been photographing parkour for more than 15 years, and photographing non-elite athletes can be a real challenge - but one that I've started to enjoy more and more in recent years. They're incredibly valuable to the participants as they become ways to remember moments of achievement and to understand that, when seen by others, their movements are powerful and skilled. This can be incredibly empowering for practitioners who lack confidence and being able to give them these images feels very rewarding.
