we had a cyclone of shore which made some nice waves.
this is my first attempt at photographing surfers so critiques would be welcome.
this was shot on a Pentax k-x with a 200mm full manual lens at 1/400 sec and iso 400
I was recently back in the woods trying to take some wildlife photos. Sadly, I barely came across any birds that day and whenever I did, they were gone before I could even focus on them.
Caught this house sparrow in a bush. In his beak, you can see what looks like his meal for the evening.
The current AI contest made me revisit a photo I took in 2008 that I've been trying to save from a chain link fence.
It was July 6, 2026, around 6:30 p.m. The sun was settling low over Port Orchard, and the wildlife seemed to settle with it.

Jeremy I would say the second and third shots are good especially for your first time shooting. The first shot looks like you pushed the exposure or something because the colors are odd. Also the surfer isn't in focus. The last shot looks out of focus and not much of a subject. Surfing photography is hard but it looks like you are off to a nice start.
