Last weekend we were supposed to do some whale watching so I rented the Sony FE 100-400 4.5-5.6 GM. But, they cancelled and rescheduled the trip due to do some people scared of being on a small boat and high winds out in the middle of the ocean. :)
I didn't want to waste the rental so I headed up to a local track. I mostly wanted to test the focusing with my a7III while the subjects are headed fast towards me. And, also what the out of focus areas would look like at f5.6 @ 400mm.
All in all, I think the combo did great. I haven't shot any motorsports in a while so this was a little nostalgic. Damn, it felt good!
