Help! Magazine Print Question! SUPER IMPORTANT :(

This might be a stupid question but I have my first print publication coming out (I'm a fashion photographer). My monitor is calibrated and photos look amazing when I print them out on my canon professional printer, but, I don't know how the color will turn out in the magazine, because I don't have access to how or where they will print. Is there anything that I can do to know how color will change ? or a setting in my computer?

I don't print much but I think color calibration on your end is your safeguard for making sure things look and are printed as desired. But, there may be a better answer haha

thank you!

I remember that Dani Diamond once posted that 2 magazines used the same photo of his as a cover in the same month, and he notes that both magazines had different colors (although if i recall correctly I think he also said he doesn't have calibrated monitor).

So I guess there's no guarantee it's going to look absolutely the same as on your monitor. Also you could ask them what color format (CMYK, sRGB, ..) they prefer.

I don't know much but I think you should look into color profiles that a lab provides based on their printers and settings to their printers.

It's very comlicate to explained but first step you should install the color profile of canon printer which you can find on cd driver along with the printer. Set the color profile of printer just installed in photoshop when you editing. By doing that, the color you see on the screen match with the color of printer when print out. Hope that help.
