Athens photos
A few shots from the winter of 2025. The last one was inside of the Acropolis Museum. (Unfortunately, I could get everyone to walk exactly where I wanted them to. hahaha)

Focus Stacking ~ New to Me
I am interested in learning Macro/Closeup photography and understanding that Focus Bracketing is a good part of the process, I thought I would give focus stacking a try.
Vintage Lens
Another visit to our garden using a vintage lens (Canon FD 50mm f/1.4) on my Canon R5. NOTE: With this lens the minimum focusing distance is 18" at which point you have 1/4" depth of field.

I'm not a pro, Fred - just a "serioius amateur". But I do have an interest in food photography. And for what it's worth, I think these photos are brilliant. I could go on for a whole paragraph, with all the reasons why I think so, but they'd add nothing that you don't already [quite obviously !!! ] already know !!!
You made my day!! I'm not up to pro level either yet, but working on it! Thank you!!
Happy to oblige - since you already made mine, with those shots !!
I'm new to the group. These two images are beautiful!
Thank you :) Any helpful critique?
Definitely amazing photos. My one critique is the first photo could use a bit more diffusion- especially on the top part of the pancake. On first glance that's the only thing that stood out to me.
Stunning idea.. I think the camera angle should have been higher and less berries. I agree with jaclyn's comment to an extent. The angle would have changed the point of focus and i would have gone a bit closer.
