Athens photos
A few shots from the winter of 2025. The last one was inside of the Acropolis Museum. (Unfortunately, I could get everyone to walk exactly where I wanted them to. hahaha)

Focus Stacking ~ New to Me
I am interested in learning Macro/Closeup photography and understanding that Focus Bracketing is a good part of the process, I thought I would give focus stacking a try.
Vintage Lens
Another visit to our garden using a vintage lens (Canon FD 50mm f/1.4) on my Canon R5. NOTE: With this lens the minimum focusing distance is 18" at which point you have 1/4" depth of field.

Jason, you're not making the rookie mistake of over-lighting. These are rich. The first cocktail shot is actually pretty well lit with good separation from the table. I just can't seem to take my eye off the wilted celery. It seems like the dried citrus and pistachios had a lot of potential but the arrangement could have been a little stronger.
I think everyone will immediately see the challenge with the second cocktail and that is the color of the drink matches the background. Either using a fill card very close or a grid spot on the shoulder of the glass would have provided some separation. Or making the drink less dense so you could pump some light through the liquid.
Hey, Thanks for you input. I agree with you on the martini shot. I think part of the problem was working on a screen with the brightness set too high. I dig back into my exposure plates and work on the separation. Thanks again.
