Athens photos
A few shots from the winter of 2025. The last one was inside of the Acropolis Museum. (Unfortunately, I could get everyone to walk exactly where I wanted them to. hahaha)

Focus Stacking ~ New to Me
I am interested in learning Macro/Closeup photography and understanding that Focus Bracketing is a good part of the process, I thought I would give focus stacking a try.
Vintage Lens
Another visit to our garden using a vintage lens (Canon FD 50mm f/1.4) on my Canon R5. NOTE: With this lens the minimum focusing distance is 18" at which point you have 1/4" depth of field.

I really like your use of straight and curved leading lines. Personally, I've always had trouble with soups. The contrast of colors and textures in those two photos is great. I prefer the close-up -- it's a simpler composition and I feel like it pops a bit more.
Your third photo has the best juxtaposing of curves and straight lines and you've also managed to shoot a dish with what's usually a thick sauce and still show good texture in the food.
That said, the orange sauce, containing an orange carrot, with the chopstick pointing at it is a bit distracting to me, as was the orange garnish in the dumplings to the lower right. Of course I am being picky here - these are beautifully crafted shots and any restaurant would be proud to have them.
Thanks Bill. I feel flattered :)
