Athens photos
A few shots from the winter of 2025. The last one was inside of the Acropolis Museum. (Unfortunately, I could get everyone to walk exactly where I wanted them to. hahaha)

Focus Stacking ~ New to Me
I am interested in learning Macro/Closeup photography and understanding that Focus Bracketing is a good part of the process, I thought I would give focus stacking a try.
Vintage Lens
Another visit to our garden using a vintage lens (Canon FD 50mm f/1.4) on my Canon R5. NOTE: With this lens the minimum focusing distance is 18" at which point you have 1/4" depth of field.

Nice job on the food styling Kevin. (or maybe it was the curry house)
You've made it very hard on yourself because of the choice of background. The seams of the tile not only give away any barrel distortion your lens might have but it also can tell when you aren't exactly above the intersection of the vertical and horizontal lines. (even a couple inches off center will give you away.) And then if your "film plane" isn't exactly level the issues can compound.
If you tried this with an abstract, textured stone with no seams your issues go away. And if you choose a dark background then the food on the white plates become the hero!
