Von der Decken's Hornbill
A bird I have not come across before. In my ignorance I just assumed it was a variety of Toucan.
I feel fortunate to have ben able to capture it with my lens.

I felt very fortunate to capture this beautiful bird. I have not heard of this bird before and in my ignorance assumed it was a Toucan variety.

Ah Marius......nice vibrant image. I love the way this son of Montreal continues to loom over the city like a protective father.
I hadn't considered Cohen much until visiting Montreal and the exhibition ('a crack in everything') celebrating his life a couple of years ago. Such a great/interesting guy.
If interested I wrote a short piece about him/ the shot below on my site https://www.alanbrownphotography.com/larger-than-life
Thank you Alan. Will read it. I took a few shots .. one from a nice high vantage point.. but the one i posted had the old style lamp post as well just to add to the nostalgia . I have listened to the sad circumstances on how he learned to play guitar and how it shaped his music
I like how the lamp post draws my attention to the Cohen image on the building. The one way sign helps move my attention in that direction.
Nice work.
thank you Tom. the one way sign does add an unintentional dimension to it
