Lockdown in Italy

Hi,

I live in the north of Italy and, as you probably know, we are currently under lockdown.
If I could, I'd be on the mountains these days, photographing the beautiful colors of the spring. But I'm here, working from remote and still enjoying the possibility to leave home for a walk.

I'm not into street photography, but since I am so lucky to be allowed to walk freely with my dog, provided that I don't leave the city, I decided I might give it a try, and hopefully learn something from your feedbacks. This is my first post in the group, in the worst case I hope I documented something interesting for you.

I selected some pictures to show the kind of things that you might expect to see on the street these days.

Pic1: Mankind weakness.
A shoe has been left by the river on a sand bank. This picture evokes in me a weird feeling, similar to what I feel being outside in a semi-desert city.

Pic2: What lurkes around the corner.
Going to the pharmacy is allowed. This man carries a bag from a pharmacy.

Pic3: Life goes on.
A pregnant woman shopping in a grocery store. Leaving home to buy food supplies is allowed.

Pic4: Health before anything else.
Exercise is allowed. Some people who usually do not exercise are now exploiting the opportunity to do so. Hopefully they will continue also after the lockdown.

Pic5: Man's best friend.
Dog walks are allowed. Since there are so few people around, many dog owners leave their pets free to run. Police don't bother them, for now.

Pic6: Can't live without it.
Tobacco is considered "necessity", so people can go out for their cigarettes. The poster of a local newspaper below this man states "Coronavirus: deaths in the province rise up to eight".

Pic7: The king of the street.
Food delivery is allowed. When I was younger I worked as a pizza guy, but traffic has always been a risk, unlike these days.

Pic8: Good night.
The sun sets behind the mountain, the darkness is about to swallow the city. Hopefully people will be able to see the light again.

There is a big player missing in these pictures, police. Streets are unusually full of cops. I saw three policemen walking next to each other in a row in the middle of the road but wasn't able to photograph them because I only had my 50mm with me and being the streets so void it'd have been to risky to get closer. That would've been the best shot so far.

Another huge player which I hope I'll never have the chance to photograph are doctors. They are currently working non-stop, being their leave days canceled for the next weeks. Anyway, you can see one that has gone.... well... "viral"! https://www.ansa.it/sito/notizie/cronaca/2020/03/10/coronavirus-infermie...
