Hello, is there anyone there?

This group seems to be stagnant when it comes to discussion, but I thought I'd post something just in case there are those that may be viewing.

It would be good to know if this group is indeed active - drop a hello if you feel inclined, and if you have an opinion feel free to comment on this, and/or other discussions.

echo, echo echo...it does seem to be quiet...your photo, the group of people with their phones out taking a photo...kinda reminds me when that game came I think "POKEMON" that was out a few years ago and everybody playing would walk into moving traffic to get that special whatever....

Thanks for commenting Don. It’s encouraging to know that someone IS actually willing to interact.

The one thing that draws me into this image is the woman crouched in the center. I’m unsure why she is doing so but feel she’s perfectly framed by others

The circular nature of taking a shot of people taking pictures of a landmark is fun. I also like the effect of the cables in the background. Glad you got some group response. I'd pretty much given up on fstoppers groups after a handful of tries over a period of months in different groups having no responses

Thanks for your response Steven. If interested in other aspects of photography I moderate the Minimaism, Abstract an Experimental group you might enjoy.

We have a frequent stream of discussions, and great members that are willing to contribute.

We’re not strict on the genre either- we’re all experimenting in one way or another and all trying to improve.

In another forum, I started a thread called 'Photographing the Photographer', it comes up with some interesting and amusing photographs.

Nice, what group is that?

Alphashooters, its a group for Sony Alpha fans.

Ah, I see. As I don't shoot Sony I guess that's not a group for me :-)

I only just recently joined the group, so I don't know how engaging its been in the recent past. I like your photograph, the B&W works great.

Thanks for your kind words Edwin. The problem with all groups is that a lack of engagement causes a domino effect - members simply stop participating if their own posts do not garner responses.

For me, the greater the participation the healthier the group.
