Good evening everyone. I've been searching for a position as an automotive photographer, but, I've been having a difficult time finding such a position that actually exist. I've tried looking on Google, but, many times, the search engine will bring up popular automotive photographers and how to shoot the subject. Does anyone have any advice on how to achieve a position in a company with that title? Below are some examples of my work from a previous car meet I attended.
Besides maybe being a lot attendant at a dealership (taking basic photos of the inventory for the web) you wont find any permanent positions as being an in house automotive photographer. Magazines, manufacturers, and shops usually contract out per shoot.
Keep on shooting and posting your work for CC and you can build a portfolio that might get you some attention and maybe some paid jobs.
