Polarizing Filter for an Indoor Swim Meet?

I've been doing some shooting at swim meets, but I've noticed that, particularly on backstroke, the water has some major reflections on it. While this makes for some really good portraits and starting photos, it doesn't work so well for action shots. I've been thinking about renting/buying a polarizing filter (http://www.borrowlenses.com/product/77mm_CP_Filter), but would that help cut down on the effects of an _indoor_ lighting system? I'm going with this setup:
- Fujifilm X-T1
- Fujifilm XF 16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR

Thanks for the help, and I look forward to getting to the bottom of this!
