Very "cool" shot, I like the perspective of it and it's almost a little uncomfortable to be so close to a hornet! ;) I think if you get the chance to shoot something like this again you may want to try to get a little more depth of field, or stabilization, so it comes out even sharper. But otherwise I like the bright colors and the timing of it. Well done!
I am surprised you were able to get this so close. These creatures can be pretty aggressive. Per Chris's comment, it is difficult to have a small enough aperture for full depth of field without a non-moving subject, a slow shutter speed, and a tripod unless you have a lot of light. It is a nice shot.
