Hello from Finland! My brief introduction (with some old photos)

Hi! I've been reading Fstoppers for a few years now but finally decided to create an account too. I'm a (part-time freelance) photographer who loves to shoot almost anything but my passion is shooting macro. I've been shooting with m4/3 cameras for almost ~10 years now.

My usual macro equipment consists of the following:
- Olympus E-M5
- Olympus 60mm f/2.8 Macro
- Raynox DCR-150 and Raynox DCR-250 stacked
- Godox TT685o with an inflatable diffuser attached

I try to improve my work constantly and aim for perfection (which I believe can never be achieved though...). =)

Hope you enjoy my work. I'll be posting some newer stuff later but while waiting you can always go and see my favourite macro photos on my website ( https://teemup.net/photographs/macro/ ).

Wow nice introduction! Welcome here. Those images are amazing. I see, I have a long way to go... ;) what is it in the third picture? Some kind of caterpillar? Looks cute! I like them all, but if I have to choose, it's #4. I've never seen that before and it's so detailed, even the aphids.

Thanks! It is some kind of caterpillar but I don't know the specifics. I'm not that good at species recognition but I did recently join a Facebook group that is focused on identifying bugs so hopefully I will learn something there... ;)

Yes identifying them is not easy. It takes more time than shooting them. :) Sometimes I can identify them, sometimes only the species.

Hi Teemu ... these are all very cool. The little spider (a Jumping Spider?) is really great. They have a wonderful presence about them. Cheers

Hi! And thank you. That's a jumping spider alright. I do love photographing them (when they're in the mood for photographing and not playing too hard to get). =)

Amazing shots! I recently acquired the same lens and use the same flash. Iove the colors and detail in these. Very nicely done sometimes shots like these start to look too overdone and cartoonish, but feel very real to me. This is the kind of stuff I'm aiming for. Thanks for posting!

Hi! Thank you for the kind words. =)
I'm sure the 60mm lens won't let you down. Looking forward to seeing your work with the lens too.

Your photos are excellent !

Thank you! =]
