Need help with my gallery photos

For some strange reason all of the photos in my gallery are very soft looking, almost blurry. This is the only site where they look that way.I have them hosted on smugmug and flickr and they are tack sharp as well as on my computer. I run a calibrated 4K monitor and all my shots are much better looking than on this site. Am I missing something, I can't find anything in the settings options. I have uploaded them with the same highest resolution as on other sites so im not sure whats going on. any help would be appreciated. Regards Mike.

What format are you utilizing? Facebook for example really likes Tiffs for best quality; Fstoppers dose not allow Tiff (no idea why), have you tried PNG?

I'd also reduce down to 8-bit before posting to one of these sites, as they all will convert it down from 16 anyway and it's best you control that conversion then some random janky site algorithm.

For the most part, your images are actually pretty dang sharp to me.

With that said, I compared one of your images, https://fstoppers.com/photo/454407 to the Smugmug version, and the SM has a little more sharpness.

Without seeing the actual original but just based off the uploaded versions, through their compression/conversion, either SM is over sharpening; or FS is losing sharpness/detail.

I bring up over sharpening because Flickr over sharpens. At least they used to back in the day. I haven't paid attention to lately, though.

FS resizes images: Horizontal = max 1500px; Vertical = max 1200 px. As Joe suggested, you could try pre-converting your images before uploading.
