Who here is a photo stacking champion? I use the technique constantly because I love the bokeh it produces and the sharp focus. HOWEVER, how do you get consistently crisp photos all the way through? I use Helicon Focus and have been doing it for years as a jewelry/macro photographer. I have a focus slider, and do it handheld in burst mode in the field (have to find a good tripod).
This is a good photo, but not great, because a few hairs are out of focus. The average person might not notice but DAMNIT! I notice!
Any advice for reliably crisp photo stacks from you masters out there?
