Post-Processing

So this may not be a cityscape per se, but this scene is meant to showcase the city of Vancouver. I thought that having a seagull and a ship in there would be a more creative way to do it, than just taking a skyline shot.
I am not sure about my post-processing though. I feel that this could be done a lot better, but not sure how. Suggestions are welcome.
Cheers!

post is an art form all in itself it also helps you develop a style, is how it looks now anything near what it looks like in your mind? we could all tell you what we like to do but what is your end goal or is there someone that you would like to emulate? for me its a bit washed out and hot at the brightest points. what platform are you editing on?

Thanks for your feedback. I am editing with Photoshop. Can you explain a bit what you mean by washed out?

the tonal value is all relatively the same there is no color differentiation and your hot spots are pretty bright look at your histogram and see where it is. if you go under filter/ raw filter/ the screen will allow you to see your before and after if you hit the Q button on your keyboard. i have been finding this very helpful to keep a more natural look and not turn an image into an over saturated mess hope this helps
