Beautiful Downtown Houston

It had just rained in some parts of Houston, but the location had just finished a huge downpour about 20 minutes earlier. I managed to get up on the roof of the garage and captivate the beautiful rainbow sunset tones rising on the building and amazing pink tones of the sky sunset receding behind me.

i will agree with you these colors are spectacular but the image is not as well executed as it could have been. i am extremely guilty of this as well its like a bug drawn to a flame or a deer in headlights you forget all the basic principals of photography and just start popping off shots

this took numerous times to photograph the shot I was trying to get...
What are you refering too? joseph cole

it just seems like you looked up and shot if thats what you were going for great. just wondering if there was a better way besides the buildings to give leading lines and lead you into and around the image. its a straight forward bright image, its striking but once you've seen it you've seen it. its great for instagram but just trying to give some insight on how to move a viewer around an image. was there any foreground or anything to give the viewer a chance to go anywhere else besides the sky?

well this was shot on top of a garage, so the bottom was all cars and buildings obstructing from where the shot was taken. It would be too cluttery with all the unneeded buildings and cars.

that makes sense
