You could never say by looking at the picture, but it's a particularly windy evening. In fact, standing on the terrace I got hit by multiple flying chairs and other pieces of furniture :) By some miracle, my light tripod didn't move despite the raging wind and I was able to blend multiple exposures to capture the dynamic range and then add the light trails.
For me blending is still a bit of a mystery process so it took me hours to figure out what method to use to avoid halos ( I just ended up using luma masks and brushing the rest by hand ). What do you think could have been done better?

Thank your comment, definitely will watch the videos you suggested! The sky was just insane that evening. So much that I did very little to it in post, those are almost straight out of camera colors :)
