Thoughts on this long exposure?

I stumbled on this festival in Delft, Holland my first day there. Because I didn't want to capture a sharp crowd of people on their phones, picking their nose, being awkward, I decided to try for a longer exposure. What do you think of this technique?

Hi Trevor, indeed this is a nice technique to mute the crowd some while showing attendance. Out of curiosity, how long was your exposure?

This is actually a composition of two images at 8 and 10 seconds. I used two to paint in some areas where people happened to be standing really still. I used a 10 stop ND filter to allow for the long exposure.

personally i love these shots ...i do think you either under or over cooked it. From my point of view i like to either see people in blur or non existent the ghostly figures to me just don't work but that is purely personal preference. compositionally i love the shot great perspective awesome colors to balance out all that blue in the sky nice work!

Thanks! I tend to like the ghostly look for whatever reason lol, but to each their own.

Absolutely like I said personal taste if everyone had the same opinion this world would be pretty boring 😁
