I don't have a lot of luck with sunsets in Japan. Even after living here for over 6 years I've only photographed a handful of decent ones. On this particular day, everything was going according to plan until about 10 minutes before sunset. I literally looked down for about 30 seconds, and when I looked up again a group of dark clouds seemed to have appeared out of nowhere. I made the most of the conditions I had, and decided to take an image that shows when it's OK to go against the typical "rules" of composition.
