Marius, Which is your subject? The sunset sky? Or, the city? Your even balance of horizon line makes this difficult to decide. After recent curator review of my portfolio, found I tend to include too much negative space for the sake of keeping a standard frame size. To emphasize one, raise bottom half way to horizon and sunset/sky takes over; similar move of top halfway down and cityscape takes on more importance and seems to take on more clarity.
Below 1st is as shown to curator, 2nd is after reducing most of black negative space to emphasize the equipment and the predawn blue hour sky.
Glad my self-study based comments are helpful. I find I learn the lessons so much better with written comments, my own and especially others. I am a practicing semi-amateur myself. Trying to build a portfolio as a base for retirement 2nd income. Getting beyond snapshots and learning the art of the medium.
Donald what struck me that day was the fact that from that perspective there were virtually nothing sticking out above the horizon and being a sucker for symmetry i though it well to have the horizon in the centre giving top and bottom Equal emphasis - but that is just the novice speaking knowing that theory may possibly not be valid.
Nice shot Marius. Having a sunset like this one in Dallas is a bonus.
Thank you Sir
beautiful sky
thank you Rajendra
