Success removing chain link fence
The current AI contest made me revisit a photo I took in 2008 that I've been trying to save from a chain link fence.

Great treatment of this fabulous building. Have you thought of a long exposure to smooth the water thus leaving it in the foreground. Then remove the remaining cityscape behind it as you have already done? Would love to see that combination
