This is a new version of a photo I took back in April during a business trip. I've cropped in to give more focus to the parliament building. I also moved some of the blues slightly more towards purple. I think it works well with the orange lights of the building. The original photo I did is still in my portfolio for reference. Thanks for looking!
Very good frame, Kyle Foreman
curious if you tried long exposure, softening the water at foreground (at shoot or post).
None the less surely "feel good" image.
Thanks Vijay Mewada ! The water is actually a blend of 2 photos (I used 3 photos to make this, a base layer that had the pink clouds, 1 photo for the lit up building, and 1 more for the reflection/water.) I liked the reflection better from a later blue hour shot which was a longer exposure with really soft water. I blended in the longer exposure with the base layer for the water and played with the opacity of the layer b/c I still wanted to have some texture. I also had to make the colors match the best I could b/c the later long exposure was much darker than the rest of the photo. I hope this makes sense.
