Going by your caption, I think the best advice I can give you is to ALWAYS SHOOT IN COLOR. You can always go into LR or PS and convert to B&W, but if you shoot in B&W, you don't have that option.
That being said, I do like this image. Nice soft color tone. I'm not a huge fan of the composition with the bridge. Although you have a great horizontal to break it up, I don't like the subject's face being dead center in the frame. Also the asymmetry of the bridge from left to right is a little distracting. Also, I would have liked to have seen more light in her face. Try using a reflector or artificial light source opposite the sun.

I'm sorry but with Canon I can shoot B&W RAW files and the colors are saved in the same file so I can use either or...
Ah, interesting, I've shot raw my entire life and I never knew that. Thank you for enlightening me.
No, i shoot RAW, then i postprocess, that's my workflow :)
