I got an ND filter system in Dec., Wine Country Camera, to go with a D500, tripod, shutter release and a couple of wide angle lenses, 16-35mm f/4 and the 12-24mm f/4 dx.
The attached photo was taken 3.3.18 on Balboa Pier, around 5:00 am. F/11, ISO 100 for 199 seconds. No filter was needed at this time of day.
